MetaTagger is server-side Java and is typically invoked via scripts developed to wrapper custom data sources. Because 3rd party repository content sources are unpredictable, the wrapper API provides a robust set of functions which programmers can invoke in order to appropriately map repository metadata to the appropriate document metadata.
