The Toolbar includes a Java-based server, and IE and FireFox clients. The toolbar's backend includes integration with LDAP and ActiveDirectory servers for user management, and a JMS-based messaging server which pushes alerts based on pre-configured alerting rules to clients. Content sources are integrated via a Java-based adapter layer. Administration is accomplished via an easy to use web-based administration console, and non-technical administrators can control most major functions.
