Sakai is an open source course management system created by the University of Michigan, Indiana University, Stanford, MIT, the Open Knowledge Initiative, and the uPortal community. NextBrick provides services for Sakai including deployment, customization, maintenance, and integration. Because Sakai is a new application, universities can benefit from NextBrick's help deploying and customizing this new and powerful platform for online classroom collaboration. Also, because of NextBrick's expertise with uPortal, integration between the two platforms can be achieved by NextBrick as well.
